We offer Invisalign and Suresmile for those patients who want clear aligners in Charlotte. However, there are 6 to 10 different companies of aligners that we can choose from.

How long does it take to have complete treatment with Invisalign?

Invisalign and SureSmile clear trays have customized fits for each person’s mouth. Therefore, they can take months to a year or more to align all teeth properly to fix underbites or overbites or even just to push teeth together. When you come in for clear aligners, each set has numbers on the trays. We will be able to calculate for you how many weeks it will take to get you to your finished look.

What’s the process for clear aligners?

We begin with a 3D scan of your mouth at your first appointment to determine the treatment. Then we’ll make a plan to move your teeth to achieve the desired outcome. Clear aligners require no other preparation aside from that and maintaining good oral hygiene. However, it is very important to wear them for at least 20 to 22 hours per day and to clean them every night.

How do I properly clean my Invisalign or SureSmile trays?

To clean your clear aligners, do a 20 to 30 minute soak in a non-abrasive cleaning solution. Water and crystals combine to create this cleaning solution. Once you have properly soaked them, rinse your aligners. This nightly routine keeps the trays fresh and clean.

How soon will I see results from Invisalign or SureSmile?

You should be able to see the initial results from the clear aligners within 1 to 2 weeks. The final results depend on the number of aligner trays you have received to fix your teeth.
