Like all of you, we’re looking forward to the hope and promise that 2021 brings! The New Year has always been a time of both reflection of the past year and optimism about a new year. And, we feel the same way as a team here at Kleinheinz Dentistry…
2021started as we settled into our beautiful, state-of-the-art new office space. We love the new sterilization center, larger lab for our technology, and rooms to grow. While COVID shut down our office for 40 days in the spring, we used the time to increase safety protocols in the office. The summer brought the addition of some fabulous, talented new team members! This has allowed us to continue to provide timely, quality care with the growth of our team. Check out our Facebook/Instagram page in the new year as we post a “Get to Know Us” about each teammate!
Looking forward to 2021, let’s focus on preventative oral health together! Did you know that you only need to floss the teeth that you want to save? All joking aside… flossing removes bacteria (not just food particles) that sit below the gum line. If you do not floss, this bacteria is left below the gum tissue where it causes inflammation and ultimately can result in bone loss, cavities, and abscesses. Flossing for one minute per day could prevent unwanted dental procedures! And, here at Kleinheinz Dentistry, we expanded our schedule to help provide timely preventative care by adding a skilled 3rd hygienist to our team- welcome Jessi!
We get it though- introducing a new habit is difficult! I am reading The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do by Charles Duhigg. In this book, Duhigg talks about creating a Cue, Habit, Reward circuit that is reliable and consistent. Looking forward to the new year, this book has me reflecting on my habits and how I can make permanent changes… could yours be daily flossing..??
