Dr. Kleinheinz, or Dr. K, and his family love living in Charlotte. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate studies, where he was a walk-on quarterback for the Gophers for one year. His desire to be a dentist was greater than his dream to be an NFL quarterback – and a much safer profession, too. He attended Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, where he graduated 7th in his class, cum laude, and a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honor society. Dr. K entered the Air Force where he attended a residency for one year at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. He served our country for 9½ years while in the Air Force.
Dr. K is married to his high school sweetheart, Patti, and has three sons, all of whom were born while he was in the Air Force. One was born in North Dakota and his twins were born in Germany just 14 months later. Dr. K is passionate about riding his bicycle, riding anywhere from 25-60 miles at a time. He enjoys doing remodeling projects around the house because he likes to work with his hands.
Dr. K enjoys learning about new things and staying current with his training by participating in many continuing education events, including a small residency in 2011 for placing dental implants, and he attends meetings to enhance the effectiveness of Invisalign clear braces. He is a member of the American Dental Association, NC Dental Society, Charlotte Dental Society and the ICOI (International College of Oral Implantologists) and is a preferred provider of Invisalign.
He participates in a study club called The Masterminds and has participated in the Charlotte, NC Mission of Mercy clinic, where dental professionals donate time and talent in helping the underprivileged of Charlotte. Being from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. K is a loyal Green Bay Packer fan…Go Pack Go!
